Personal hygiene and the safe use of water and sanitation has always played a significant role in our lives. More recently, the importance of hygiene has been raised to a new level that must be maintained as the world tries hard to cope with COVID-19.

As countries try to come to grips with the virus, has the pandemic transformed the public’s attitude to cleanliness? What can businesses do to support rising expectations and protect their people?

To find out, we carried out one of the largest global hygiene surveys to focus on the impact that COVID-19 has had on hygiene attitudes and behaviours – reaching 20,000 respondents in 20 countries around the world - including South Africa.

Our report explores their expectations about hygiene and its effect on their wellbeing as a result of the pandemic. The whitepaper also tackles how businesses can meet the growing demand for hygiene solutions and asks whether they can do more to safeguard their staff and customers.
